President John Dramani Mahama is in the Ashanti Region for the latest leg of his ‘Accounting to the People’ tour.
Since he began the tour in April, the president has visited seven regions across the country, including the Volta and Greater Accra Regions.
Mahama is expected to inspect current and ongoing developmental projects and also unveil completed projects while in the Ashanti Region.
According to Citi FM, the president is expected to visit the Asawasi market, Asokori Mampong and other areas.
President Mahama has made stops in the Eastern, Central and Western Regions, where he paid courtesy calls on chiefs, interacted with traders and residents of various communities.
He’s also had the opportunity to address a number of issues including entrepreneurship, employment and the economy.
In the Western Region, Mahama participated in a ceremony to convert the Takoradi Polytechnic into a technical university.
