NDC-USA Congratulates President-Elect John Mahama on Decisive 2024 Victory
The USA chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended heartfelt congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama, Vice President-elect Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, newly elected Members of Parliament, and the entire party leadership following their resounding victory in the 2024 general elections.

In a statement signed by the chapter’s chairperson, Vivian Maame Aba Dadzie, the group lauded the historic win as a reflection of the urgent need for change in Ghana's leadership. "On behalf of the Chapter Executive Committee and the entire membership of the NDC-USA, I wish to extend our warmest congratulations to the President-elect, H.E John Dramani Mahama, and the first Woman Vice President-elect, H.E Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, on their decisive victory in the December 7 election," the statement read.

The chapter described the victory as a testament to the faith Ghanaians have in the leadership style and vision of President-elect Mahama and Vice President-elect Opoku-Agyemang to address the economic and social hardships confronting the country. "This resounding victory demonstrates the belief of Ghanaians in their excellencies’ ability to reset the country and steer it toward accountability, equity, transparency, and inclusiveness," the statement added.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang’s election as Ghana’s first female Vice President was heralded as a significant milestone, symbolizing progress in women’s empowerment and gender equality. The chapter expressed confidence that her historic achievement would inspire Ghanaian women and women worldwide in their efforts to break barriers and achieve greater representation in leadership.

The statement further expressed optimism for a transformative era under the Mahama administration, envisioning a future marked by sound economic policies, job creation, improved educational standards, and respect for the rule of law. “The NDC-USA is confident in the incoming administration’s potential to resuscitate Ghana’s past glory both internally and on the international stage,” it stated.

To the newly elected Members of Parliament, the NDC-USA acknowledged their victory as a reflection of the electorate's trust and confidence in their ability to support the Mahama-led government in realizing its vision for Ghana. "Your victory is a testament to hard work and provides renewed hope for a prosperous Ghana," the chapter noted.

The NDC-USA also expressed gratitude to the party’s supporters, sympathizers, and all Ghanaians for their unwavering support, which contributed to the victory. "Without your collective efforts, this remarkable achievement would not have been possible," it said.

In conclusion, the chapter pledged its unwavering support for President-elect Mahama, Vice President-elect Opoku-Agyemang, and the incoming administration. "We wish you great success in resetting Ghana for the benefit of all its citizens," the statement concluded.
