NDC-USA Congratulates President-Elect John Mahama on Decisive 2024 Victory

The USA chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended heartfelt congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama, Vice President-elect Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, newly elected Members of Parliament, and the entire party leadership following their resounding victory in the 2024 general elections.
In a statement signed by the chapter’s chairperson, Vivian Maame Aba Dadzie, the group lauded the historic win as a reflection of the urgent need for change in Ghana's leadership. "On behalf of the Chapter Executive Committee and the entire membership of the NDC-USA, I wish to extend our warmest congratulations to the President-elect, H.E John Dramani Mahama, and the first Woman Vice President-elect, H.E Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, on their decisive victory in the December 7 election," the statement read.
The chapter described the victory as a testament to the faith Ghanaians have in the leadership style and vision of President-elect Mahama and Vice President-elect Opoku-Agyemang to address the economic and social hardships confronting the country. "This resounding victory demonstrates the belief of Ghanaians in their excellencies’ ability to reset the country and steer it toward accountability, equity, transparency, and inclusiveness," the statement added.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang’s election as Ghana’s first female Vice President was heralded as a significant milestone, symbolizing progress in women’s empowerment and gender equality. The chapter expressed confidence that her historic achievement would inspire Ghanaian women and women worldwide in their efforts to break barriers and achieve greater representation in leadership.
