NPP Confident in Bawumia’s Victory as December 7 Polls Approach
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, has expressed strong optimism about Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s chances of victory in the December 7 presidential election. Speaking on Joy News’ AM Show on Thursday, December 5, Mr. Ahiagbah highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s extensive campaign strategy, which saw him visit all 275 constituencies across the country to engage directly with constituents.

“For the first time in history, a candidate has gone around every corner of this country and touched every constituency, and that is evidence of someone who wants to serve the people,” he stated, emphasizing the unprecedented nature of the Vice President’s campaign.

Mr. Ahiagbah expressed confidence that Dr. Bawumia’s visibility and engagement with voters would yield significant support, claiming, “At this point, I can tell you that if you go to any constituency, out of every ten people, you will find at least six who have felt the presence of Dr. Bawumia in their constituency. When you have that experience, that awareness, and that contact with him, it will inform their decision.”

He further dismissed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), suggesting that Ghanaians have grown weary of their tactics. “I am telling you that Ghanaians are not in on the NDC’s tricks,” he remarked.

Calling on voters to turn out in their numbers on election day, Mr. Ahiagbah urged the populace to give the NPP another term to continue its developmental agenda. “We want people to go and cast their votes. We have done the work, we have worked hard,” he said.

The NPP’s final rally, scheduled to take place in Accra later today, is expected to serve as a culmination of the party’s campaign efforts, uniting its supporters and encouraging voters to choose Dr. Bawumia and the NPP’s parliamentary candidates on December 7.

As the election approaches, the governing party remains confident that its track record and outreach efforts will resonate with the Ghanaian electorate and secure victory at the polls.
